Why is ventilation so important?

The air is probably the most important thing in your building, and yet it’s arguably the most easily overlooked. It is vital to ensure your air quality is up to standard. Poorly ventilated buildings increase the risk of air-borne pathogens such as viruses, bacteria and fungi, as well as smoke and other harmful gases. On top of the respiratory health risks, poorly ventilated areas can mean that unwanted smells will linger in stale air – not the most conducive working environment.

Another key importance of ventilation is moisture control. Excessive moisture in the air can rot wood and drywall over time, compromising their structural integrity, as well as facilitating mold and mildew build up.

So we’ve established we need ventilation. What next?

You’ll need industrial heating specialists, trained in mechanical engineering, to consult, design and install your ventilation systems. They can advise on types of ventilation, such as natural ventilation (windows and doors), spot airflow (exhaust fans) and/or air ducts.

CAD (Computer Aided Design) systems can be used to help draw up ventilation plans for your building, ensuring that whatever solution is created is engineered perfectly to your situation.

Finally, once your ventilation is designed and installed, you can breathe easy!
