Is it time to replace your boiler?

By January 9, 2018 No Comments

Is your boiler playing up? Is it making a funny noise or taking a long time to heat up a room? If any of these apply to you, it’s time to think about getting a new boiler fitted.

There are a lot of things to take into consideration when thinking about getting a new boiler:

  • Age
  • Performance
  • Servicing

Servicing

When your boiler gets older it tends to need more repairs and the costs of these repairs can quickly add up. If this is the case for you, we would recommend getting a brand new boiler as not only does it cost you less money in the long run but is more reliable for you and your home.

Age

This is the main factor to consider. The average lifespan of a boiler is around fifteen years; if your boiler is around this age then you should start to think about replacing it.

Performance

Does your boiler not heat up your home as well as it used to? Or does it take a long time for the heat to actually make an impact on your home? If these apply to you then it means that your boiler can’t distribute the heat efficiently and evenly.
